We all are very well aware of the increasing unemployment in our country.
With a rise in BPO's and KPO's in India lot of youth after class 12 or say graduation are diverging more towards pursuing call centre jobs just to earn money.
Lucrative Packages, incentives, timely bonus makes them go crazy for pursuing call centre jobs, rather than pursuing their career in some professional field. There starts the new story of jobs and its attraction to the students who are just higher secondary passed and how are they used for business!!!
Yes these students who get attracted towards the lucrative packages in the industry are caught in hands of all those consultants who are using them as a part of their business.
Well we might not think in our imagination that what’s going on..
To let their consultancy business run well these consultancies are providing fake certificates to students. Providing duplicate proofs that students are graduates and experienced.
Its just not fake certificates they provide to theses students more or less they are playing with there future. For a fresher who is undergraduate a sum of Rs. 10,000/- month is a huge amount where there monthly pocket money from there parents does not exceed more than Rs. 2,000/- per month.
Almost around 70% of employees (students) working in BPO’s are working with such fake certificates provided by consultancies. The question that arises here is what right do they have to play with the student’s future?
Rapid transition in job industry through the commencement of BPO’s had made a lot of change. Gradually students or professionals are more or less found in BPO’s pursuing jobs. Some of them are innocent who are there to earn there livelihood and many among them are those from theses consultancies just to pursue a job for 2 months or 3 months in lieu to earn good money.
The lucrative packages and incentives makes them earn more and attracted towards such jobs; but what is the professional stand these jobs are providing?
Too many questions have arisen but still there is no answer…
Where is this world leading towards …A vast destruction and full of corruption..With a crave for money people have got to be very selfish day by day.
What everyone sees from eyes is just money and different ways to earn that whether by getting a job by fake certificates or providing fake certificates to run there business well.

You are right at pointing the issue. Politicians and businessmen associated with the trade are not taking the right approach. They are showing a rosy and painted picture about the BPO industry. Its alright that the BPO industry is bringing a lot of green bucks to India, but it has its own black side too. Good write up. Keep it coming...
I have found a concern in the mind of the author and that is appreciable but after reading this article it seems that the author thinks that BPOs are a reason for students getting fake certificates and that is wrong!
There is a point of the author: "Lucrative Packages, incentives, timely bonus makes them go crazy for pursuing call centre jobs, rather than pursuing their career in some professional field". I dont think that BPO employees are not professionals. I would ask a simple question. What if these BPOs were not actually doing business for companies outside India? What if they were dealing with the support processes or sales processes of Indian businesses?
I am also concerned about the education of the children who come across some fraud consultants and get forged certificates. But I think the parents of the students should take stand to make their children complete their studies first and then go for a job. Its the thirst of money that makes children go crazzy about a job (not BPOs).
Is paying employees a bad thing?
I am not sure about all but most of the international BPOs only recruit graduates and it is another kind of profession. The thing is that in India it has not been accepted yet, otherwise it is a respectable profession in western countries.
Nowadays IT companies are ramping down their human resources. People who were given joining dates are being told that their joining dates have been postponed. So what future do those children have in IT industry?
Fresh graduated come to places like Delhi to get recruited but every company asks for experience and when no one gives them a chance then what should they do? BPOs in that situation are like a ray of hope! People are becoming managers in BPOs and are getting recruited on higher posts in other industries as well.
No one is the reason behind this except the greed of those consultants and the students. Greed of consultants has transformed a business and hence it would be difficult to stop that untill government takes any action, but we (Indian population especially parents) can try to make sure that children are made aware of the importance of education in their career.
